Well my Winter Allowance letter arrived yesterday saying they will credit me with a hundred smackers in due course - so have just reallocated half to the Salvation Army and the other to The Royal British Legion as these two organisations are so deserving, not me.

But they (Hmrc ) will claw it back in tax if you have decent pension.
The boss will keep hers but mine will be fully taxed back.
We used to give the money to the local food bank charity. Last year they got nothing. Now they will get half.

I got my letter saying I will get £200 and my wife will also get £200 I thought is was £150 each .

We don't get taxed on ours because we don't get a fuel allowance in Scotland.
