As said above, the whole point of the M3W Services mount is to limit the vibration transmitted to the chassis. This helps comfort, rear view via mirrors and life of chassis/body parts. Yes the engine moves more on idling but this can be limited by the rubber bump stops at the front of the mount on either side.

Any feedback if this has any additional impacts to the pipes? Are there additional stresses applied to the header pipes or further down the exhaust pipes due to additional vibration impacted to the pipes? Granted, the mounting bobbins are fairly far back on the exhaust under the shields, but any additional issues I would think pop up around notable stress points.

My m3wservices engine mounts have been on for at least 2 years now, with no issues to report with the std headers or my KH exhaust pipes to date.

Stevo, thanks. 2 years is a good solid record. Unless your M3W is a garage queen. In which case I doubt you would be spending much time on TM discussing upgrades that you don't need.

I am close to starting the install on my Vibeater motor mounts. I have a couple of questions on some bits I received in the kit and before I trouble Craig with questions I thought I’d see if anyone on here can help.

My first question in on the aluminum parts I have circled in the following photo:

They aren’t mentioned in any install notes. What are they?

Next question is about the bolt and rubber bushing in this existing photo from the notes posted earlier in this thread. See circled item in red:

I don’t see the same with my kit, however there are two smaller rubber bumpers in the first photo that I think may replace them and are a change from the original kit.

I have a good understanding of what I need to accomplish here, except I have one extra issue in that the sensor for the oil temp/pressure gauge will have to be reoriented. I have had quite a bit of experience ripping stuff apart and successfully putting it all back together better thanks to all the selfless help I received here on the forum. Chain drive upgrade and bevel box seals, etc. Many thanks!

These fit between the new engine plate and the Centa bellhousing (the part on the old mounts held in by 3 x socket head bolts each side). Your see when you take the old mounts off.

Correct - the ones in the bag are the same just in the mounted image they have been squashed - I personally do not normally fit this one as its more important to have clearance on the rear cylinder but as every chassis is different its a bit trial and error as to whether you need it.

Thanks Stevo666! That helps! It looks like I have to do some reorientation of the location of the oil pressure/temp gauge sensors by rotating the sandwich plate between the oil filter and crankcase. I hope I can manage to move this in a way that I can keep it out of the way of the new mounts. See the photo below:

Oil change was less than 400 miles ago so maybe I’ll wait until end of season (opposite of normal…May/June since I’m a desert rat) If I try now I’ll just drain the oil and filter and reuse.
