Every penny must be accounted for, and Yorkshire citizenship can be rescinded! Took my wife 40 years of living here to earn it and I only awarded it to her after she started dropping her 'h's and I caught her saying "How much?"!

I believe her first ever complete sentence was “How much?” - a phrase which she continues to use on a daily basis.

I'm just replacing the 10 year old battery on my wife's Polo. The stop start isn't working & I know the battery will fail soon. The cheapest was £56 though I spent a bit more. As RichardV6 says they are disposable items & I prefer to change it in the garage rather than at the side of a road.

That seems amazingly cheap for a stop-start battery, ( I would expect £x00) or are you saying that because the stop-start doesn’t work anyway, that you’ve gone for an ordinary one?

I always turn the stop start off as I find it annoying.

No it is a stop start one, but I felt it was too cheap.
