My Irvin flying jacket is sumptuously warm although bulky. When I flew, cockpit dimensions of Piper Arrow left me offset a tad to control yoke. Great in the Mog though if a little cramped with passenger. Purchased in the mid 80's for around £350, it's still like new Dread to think the new cost now!

I don't do animal stuff, but have a really warm Brandit M65 jacket with fleece inner. On really cold days I have the heated seats, and a Keis heated waistioat.

I’ve often worn a fleece gilet under a waxed jacket, and put hand warmers in the fleece pockets.

Modern jackets and heated accessories are often less bulky, lighter, more practical and not as cumbersome (so you can move about more easily in the cabin once in them ) than the solutions of the past. mentioned above.

I think if I pressed my wife's I would warm up very rapidly around the chops.. ![[Linked Image]](https://tm-img.com/images/2025/11/26/ja.jpg)

Would I be right in assuming the ‘turn on button’position was determined by a man?

Another one of those perfect winter's days (at least in the south) where sorning the car to save a few quid would be really frustrating..............................................🤷🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️😁 Woolly hat, scarf and a fleece was all that was needed......🥳

Took advantage of sunshine and mainly dry roads for an eighty mile round trip to the quirky Club Virage Cafe on the edge of Beccles airfield. Blew the cobwebs out of Morton and gave opportunity to check out the new sub woofer assisted sound system. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2025/12/11/1000015854.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2025/12/11/IMG_20251211_1444232.jpg) Plenty of residual dampness around though - briefly saw inside of tacho misting up.

Well B-mog you have a reputation for being one of the wisest when it comes to Morgan spanner-ing and that's when it shows up! I always maintain that the classics just need proper servicing and looking after. For those who don't understand what I mean, well I don't mean polishing it! That's like your old mum burning the cake yet icing it to perfection. servicing and maintenance really is best done by the owner but think how your dad from the 50's to 70's looked after his car's and you'll be somewhere close to understanding what is required. I would feel quite upset when my MOT came around if I didn't get a "spot on" confirmation from the tester. Just think how much a dealership charges for your tin top service then look at the invoice and see just exactly what they did for the money! You get my point! Yes, most of that dosh went into their pocket. So now you can see why Morgan maintenance at a proper dealer is so expensive...... not because they are ripping you off but because the amount of work needed is still old school and takes time. So, if you can't or don't want to get involved in looking after it yourself, stay safe and see it as a cost of furnishing your hobby.
