Thanks for posting Lynyrd Skynyrd Jens, while Sweet home Alabama rocks my socks off, Simple Man deserved to be learned from while in a more contemplative mood...
As I typed my old Trad makes music enough, though when driving other than My Mog, I have had The Very Best of ELO plugged into the cd player for quite some time.
The whole of the Wembley ELO show is available on YT though this is just one random song from it...Hope you can enjoy listening to it

Fabulous. I'm late to the party, but I now have the ELO bug.

Candy-O by The Cars. Back in my motocross days it was the song that got me most pumped up for the race.

H.H. Despite the obvious linkage, it is a toss up between the ELO CD and the Travelling Wilburys volume one for in car entertainment, though as I typed ELO seems to be resident in the player for a while yet..(-: If you might like to listen to a bit of Jeff Lyn and Richard Tandy off stage and unplugged, you could try beaming up.. As we're in the 70's vibe I'm off to see SWEET (or what's left of them) on Thursday evening. Should be an amusing show......

Late entry having been off grid for a week or so.
Love most of the suggestions especially ADAM12
Love John Fogerty as he has so many good driving songs including Hot Rod Heart.
We have an album Best of JF (?) and it has 26 songs and we measure our driving trips by how many times we could play the CD to get to the destination. It’s so long, just try it. Driving through the night of course is great for relaxing and soul searching at some point - the Boss version…..
Fogerty with Bruce at Hyde Park and his voice was good then and he ‘nearly stole the show ‘ …as did the Dixie Chicks one year. Live music cannot be beaten at so many levels, even the odd tribute can be great.

Still we get ready for endless Fairytale of NY , sadly both dead. Gosh cannot believe I’m still here ‘after life’ in the 60s & 70s . Rock on everyone.

What next Worst Christmas songs ever ??? Wife hates M Carey !

Seasons best MM

Couldn't agree more. A change in financial circumstances has meant that we've been able to get out and about much more over the last year, so have managed to see about 30 bands so far in 2025 and another two booked before the end of the year. So far got 12 inthe calendar for 2026.....

Much of the fun has been introducing my Mrs to the music of my youth. Although she's only 41, her 'spotify' age came up yesterday as 56. My work is complete smile

As some have mentioned The Who, good to see Mr Daltrey getting his Knighthood today....
