Sewin, very sensible post from my perspective, I used to really enjoy doing my own servicing however due to the advancing years I find it more and more difficult, I can get under the car, gravity does that but getting back out again is a different story so I will use the people who know what they are up to and do a good job to keep my toy safe on the road so we can continue to enjoy it, hobbies cost money and life is precious.

Here for a good time not a long time!!

Oh yes fired the Plus 8 up for a run in the beautiful sunshine and growled our way along the countryside spotting Emu, Wallabies, herd of Fallow deer, Belted Galloways, Highland cattle Alpacas and Dartmoor Blackface sheep. Not bad for a 40 mile round trip ๐Ÿ˜Ž.

Glorious South Devon.

Still smiling 2 hours later, there is something very special about a V8, as much as I enjoy frolicking and throwing the Sport around tis not the same secure feel of limitless power and road holding ๐Ÿด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ๐Ÿ™The recent full rain tyres are brilliant as recommended and fitted by my local MOT garage lady.

Grisly old day in Southwold but I had to go as Mrs FT had booked me a flu jab there. Actually enjoyed the drive and it was a good check that everything is watertight!

Into Dartmouth to hand deliver Christmas cards and to fuel up the Sport.

Whilst parked up in police square car park next to a bright yellow Plus Four,, when I returned to the car Bill and June introduced themselves as reasonably local folks so we had a good yarn.

They know jbk of this parish also.

As there had been a lot of rain in my locale since the last frost and the weather was dry, I took a run out in the 991 to give it a bit of exercise and keep things from generally suffering through lack of use, managed circa 90 miles yesterday though my reason for mentioning that run was that I saw a M3W coming from the opposite direction on the rather interesting road between Kippen and Lenoxtown, a stretch that Jay Emm has tested a few cars on, thus quite an ideal location to be enjoying a spirited run on some open sections with little to no traffic on occasion.... I guess whoever was enjoying his M3W must have wondered what a stupid Porsche driver was doing waving at him...! (-:

Given today was an even better weather day I donned my thermals woolly bunnet etc.etc.etc. and headed out for a repeat of yesterdays run and while on a track in the Trossachs heading down to join the main route a Grey Morgan flashed past all be it with the hood up, Probably a CX, it kinda looked to ..err.. new to be a Trad.. but it just flashed past so did not get a good look at it, amazing to see two Mogs out in my local area enjoying a couple of my favoured routes..

Thought to add a pic from todays run, did not get the pic I hoped for as there were a couple of cold water swimmers in the loch...JEEZ, given I need to get wrapped up to enjoy driving the old Mog... Nuts or what..?

at the risk of being thrown off the forum..... Headed out this morning and enjoyed a circa 230 mile run, expecting traffic to be very light, never driven up Lochlomondside feeling I al most had the road to myself, it is a road I generally try to avoid. Saw the traffic police in action. I given next to zero traffic someone was tempted...
Headed for Glencoe and got there just as the sun was beginning to light up the glen. Again very few folk about, interestingly a few Sikhs and Orientals, enjoying the views..
Headed home via Oban then the coast road South. being a C4S provides an extra a bit of confidence in the frost... Doable in the Mog though perhaps more so when a tad younger... (-:
