I love the look of a Motolita wood rim wheel.... they are perfect...........almost....😁
A leather rim wheel is much more comfortable................however..........the wood rim just looks ......right....... and, being all about the looks of the thing..... for the time being I'll stay with wood...!
Mine has developed a really nice 'patina' being nearly 20 years old, and there's always the option of a string back driving glove.........🤷🏻‍♂️
14" is however the sweet spot when it comes to diameter.

This information is just what I needed to make a decision. I love the look of my 15” motolita wheel as it comes close to matching my dash board but for me it’s difficult to get into the car and uncomfortable to grip. I think I would be happy with a 14” leather wrapped wheel. I’m going to investigate the off center aspect too.

Even this 13 inch Motolita (with thick rim option) doesn't look out of place on a Morgan despite core diameter being closer to 12 inches. I do have factory electric power steering though.

The "Off Set" steering wheel is round, but the center where the boss fits to is Not in the center (if that makes sense?
It's only out by about an inch but that makes a surprisingly big difference.
Its like, (when it pointing directly ahead) having the leg room of a 13" steering wheel on a 14" wheel.
You don't notice the "off set" while driving though, I love mine.
Just don't try getting out if you've not parked straight though

Second that an “off set” wheel makes a huge difference. I also added a moto lita spacer behind mine for an extra bit of room (being 6ft 2”) as every little helps. Although I’d recommend getting the black spacer as I got the polished version and the reflection in the windscreen was a Spain until I covered it with tape.

Thanks for the correction Paul, you're quite right the offset wheel is perfectly round!

I bought this leather Moto-Lita wheel to try on our '64 4/4, but found that I prefer the wood rim wheel. The photo is a bit distorted because of the angle, but it's a hub centric wheel and the padding is the same all around, not fatter at the top as it appears. PM me if you might be interested.

I have a Momo Prototipo with a diameter of 350 mm in my 4/4 and it seems to be a good compromise. I can see all the instruments and I can get in and out easily. Of course, a Prototipo is less elegant than a Motolita, but I like its sporty, simple look.
