I have always parked my Morgans with a cover over the hood at night. There are a number of options for cockpit covers. This serves two purposes. It keeps the worst of the weather out and it keeps prying eyes away from the interior of your car overnight. None of us leave anything of value in our cars overnight but the idea that there might be something underneath that towel could lead to someone trying to break in and causing enough damage to ruin a holiday.
There is another purpose for a cockpit cover - the car is not quite so photogenic with the cover in place. It therefore discourages people from sitting on the car to have photographs taken.

That could be an interesting idea! Hopefully it doesn’t take up too much space though, since we’ll already need to pack pretty minimally 😁. Do you have any good cover brands to recommend?

The one I have for my 4/4 came from Morgan Motor Co - not sure they still do them. Take a look at these: https://www.morganhoods.com/cockpit-covers

I have purchased several storm covers from John Taylor. Phoenix Design Services, I believe is the name of his company. The storm cover keeps the water out and folds up in a small pouch. It doesn't take up much room.

Phoenix design services has the website morganhoods,com, so both the above are recommending John. I've also purchased from him, cockpit cover and his round convex door mirrors; both are excellent.

@Axool,
I have exactly the same issue on mine. It looks like the way the front corner of the hood attaches, it doesn't have the same folded back angle as on the driver's side, so it initially bows out and away from the sidescreen, creating a gap for the front half of the sidescreen top. For me, the problem's the wind noise and draft that creates. It was waterproof on a wet A1/M11 run. Not sure about overnight. The hood covers look very sensible.
I've asked Krazy Horse to look at it when I get my service week after next. I'll let you know if they resolve it.

Axool and Martin, I bought a storm cover from Williams for my 2025 Plus Four. https://williamspartsshop.co.uk/morgan-storm-cover-203-p.aspOn the delivery note it stated “MMM6180 Morgan Storm Cover NOT CX see notes”…. but there were not any notes. I contacted Williams and they said "Yes the storm cover will fit, they are quite small for the plus sixes but ok for the plus fours." It certainly fits my new Plus Four very well, and is very easy to install. While it is supplied with a bag, this makes it rather bulky when packed, and I have found it more convenient to fold the storm cover down fairly wide and flat (in a more suitably shaped bag) and slide it behind the seat. Regards Guy

I would go for the storm cover that also covers the bonnet, stop water dripping through the louvres during overnight rain onto the engine bay and electrics. Not pretty but very practical.

The stormcover is indeed very handy, we use it all the time. The trad stormcover fits the PlusFour very well, you can see it was designed for the trad doorhandels, but the sidescreenknobs are a good alternative! ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2026/01/11/IMG_4550.jpeg)
