Apologies to those unlike me who have no interest in Porsche vehicles, however I suspected there might be enough interest in the advances in the last decade in one company converting Classics to become EV`s ...?

As a BEV owner & an owner of two ICE cars I can only ask why. Keep them pure as ICE cars & buy an MG cyberster

They took he Whale tail off frown I know this will upset some Porsche people but to me a Porsche without a Whale Tail looks pretty boring. To me this car looks great
and my opinion of what Porsche should look like.

Unless I missed something the main improvements are the charging changes to support faster charging and battery improvements. Hopefully Batteries will improve even more and they can get either more range or more storage or probably more important would be reduced weight.

Looking at the Video I see a nice Mini in the background which I think could be this car
Out of all the conversions I have seen videos of this is still my favourite.

While I find my Tesla to well suit the requirements of the old man I have become, while I can still enjoy the wonders of the ICE, I can not imagine that I might wish to convert the likes of any old sports/classic car to become an EV....
As ever, each to their own..

I converted my 1960s Solex 3800 to electric; it's perfect for going to buy a baguette, Camembert cheese, and a bottle of Bordeaux wine :

I vote yes for Nestor's conversion and no to the one done to the 911. Each to their own but a 911 without the sound from a flat-6 is akin to heresy imho!

I vote yes for Nestor's food shop! Agreed as far as Porsche go!

Nestors Solex looks very smart and brings back good memories.

Where it still has the petrol engine, isn’t it actually a hybrid though - making it a cutting edge motorbike as I am not aware of any other hybrid bike in existence ?

Really that is the only sensible option. The only EV conversion I really like is the Mini with stupid power but I know it would cost $225,000AUD to get done here as one has been done by the same workshop that did my MGB. The have certainly done a brilliant job and it looks so nice but it is a lot of money for a car that is really stuck in my town as it doesn't have the range to go on a trip. I can buy a new Cyberster for $125,000AUD and easily buy a 1960's Mini Cooper for under $50,000AUD. No idea what the Porsche conversions cost in the UK but I doubt it is cheap.

I suspect in terms of converting any classics in general to become EV`s my bottom line might be that it seems better to have options to do so than not...?

If I might add a tad more personal Porsche comment, I can only imagine the difference in weight and distribution thereof, in terms of the EV 911 in the vid, which will likely affect the wonderfully alive and nervous feel which was very much part of the drivers involvement and enjoyment of propelling G series and other older air cooled Porsches through an interesting series of bends..?

However the above typed, even in the days of air cooled Porsches, such was the rate of "advance" that by the time the 964 and later 993 appeared on the market, great strides had been made to make them perhaps a tad less...err..nervous to pilot, and by the time the 991 appeared with all the digitisation involved in trying to keep it out of the hedges....!!!

Yeah, well there is no stopping the process of evolution... tJust feeling so very fortunate to have been able to enjoy that which I was able to when and where I was able to... (-:
