I'm sure if they can afford a MIdsummer, it's not the only car in their collection, they will have weather forecasts on their phone and most likely live in warmer and dryer parts of the world. If that was the case I would be more concerned with sun burn , dehydration as lack of hood shade if in really sunny. hot and drier conditions. Not something you get too often in the UK.

I remember in June 93 a group of us took our Harleys across to the US for the 90th HD celebrations, it was one of the wettest Junes on record. We then spent 3 weeks riding across the midwest then heading back to Baltimore. Whilst you could ride with just a tea shirt on, most of us covered ourselves up, with jackets and gloves , as even with windshields, you got wind burnt and dehydration was a major factor. to watch out for. Those that just wore tea shirts or went helmetless in the states that allowed it, really got seriously burnt on the few sunny dry days, despite factor 50 sunblock cream..

Whilst the MIdsummer is a beautiful car, in warmer dryer climates, I'm not so sure I would want to drive it too far on a very hot day, as I'm sure the leather seats,steering wheel the dash etc will get hot to the touch before too long.

The S5 was highly entertaining and “automotive theatre” as Charles once described it, and looked great with the roof down, but a right ten or fifteen minute faff to put it up.

I would only drive it if there was a 95% probability of no precipitation and ended up doing 500 miles pa when the P6 came along so it had to go.

Still a bit paranoid about getting caught in a cloud burst, but at least with the Aero it was just inconvenient rather than a soggy disaster.

I agree about the necessity to have the hood up without side screens in if possible when travelling any distance on a warm day.

Even in our temperate climate I have become dehydrated if not and as I am not of the generation that carries a water bottle welded to themselves I have learned to drink a lot more even with the roof up.

Having had lumps removed from the surface (thankfully) of your skin due to too much exposure working overseas both Heather and I factor 50 at the drop of a hat.

Thank God for our wonderful NHS they sorted us both out during the first wave of Covid and these people are living Saints

PS In order of preference an Aeromax is the apex car then Midsummer closely followed by the Aero Speedster model which is realistically the affordable one of the trilogy for me.
The ONLY reason I don’t have a Speedster in my garage is the MMC’s total lack of support of any kind for the Aero chassis cars, once Scifab overreached himself it has left all Aero owners in a very precarious position sadly.
