Hi folks.
All your files are safe smile
Backups are taken automatically every 24 hours.

I check that everything is running fine every so often and I always check to make sure that any new user is not there to load spam.
The last time I checked was two days ago and everything was fine. It seems that one of the program files became corrupted,. Perhaps due to some system maintenance.
I made a backup of the database and then reloaded the version of the system that was, or at least should have been, running and that seemed to solve the problem.

While I was logged in I then took the opportunity to update the software to the latest version just in case the issue was one which occurred because of a bug in the outdated version.

All seems to be running fine now. I will check again in a few hours and a couple of times during the day tomorrow.

I have an email - sent today. PM sent.

Let me look if I have a phone - I do not wish to make this a three alarm call when he could be away and smiling on holiday.
He has shown a good strong self determination streak in the past in terms of deciding when he was on-line.

I think the existing pictures are still being served?

I thought to ask for some advice from those unlike myself might be the digitecsavvy nerds on this forum.

I was never into digitec when younger and the passing of time has not improved my limited capabilities in that area. I have to admit to a measure of frustration in many attempts to work my way through (and remember) the various steps required to make use of the TM Image app, when it seems one can post images directly from one`s devices files or folders on other discussion groups I have been a member of over the years... I suppose in performing the latter and simpler option, one is likely exposed to some form of hacking, whether more so or not, I have no idea...Sigh !

On the other hand it seems I have amassed 263 images in 32 albums on the TM image hosting site over the years I have been posting pics on TM via the site, I doubt anyone ever visits my pics or albums on the hosting site, thus was thinking it might be better to delete the pics, to save on space in the site, and perhaps in doing so also reduce the chances of feeding A.I. or facilitating other nefarious actors...?

For sure my thinking on deleting my pics for the above reasons is likely way way too late...But would appreciate a more informed insight, though not too much of an insight, given my reducing grey matter..

Ever grateful for Peter`s efforts to provide and maintain the facility to post pics in threads..... thumbs

Peter owns the formal response but my best bet based on something he wrote a long time ago.

1. He does not have a volume storage issue so I do not believe he needs stuff deleted.
2. It does not directly effect the cost of operation for for him.
3. A.I. (for what it is) will index them anyway if it can get to them. I would not sweat the issue.
4. It will not seriously change things in this modern world so you are good pending Peters return to the forum and correction.

There is one aside it is worth mentioning
Once "AI" has found and indexed your image or content it then it will abuse it and re-purpose it as it feels like. If you have anything that is personal or has a value through copyright etc then always consider putting up some form of reduced/neutered/adjusted version of it so it is trackable where it is being sent.

If you put a modified version of the image on line it is easier to do an image search and find out where it got picked up. If you need any help with it George you are always welcome to ask. A DM in the forum message tool and we can be in touch directly through email etc.
