Yep, no original thought claimed here, just adapting from the pioneers!
I took on board, with gratitude, the helpful advice in previous Talk Morgan topics.
What it does show is that for 3 metres of seals, the factory could achieve a much more satisfactory result. I dare say, each car will have variations in panel fit. However, in my view these seals are very soft and could accommodate that.
On the other hand, I have enjoyed working it out. Applying, testing, adjusting.

Speaking of neoprene I needed some self adhesive 10mm thick sheet for a project on Morton. Discovered exactly that from Smart House on eBay but rather than wait realised they are located in Thetford our nearest town and have a retail counter. Popped over to discover they stock a range of neoprene rolls as well as sheet plus a wide range of general DIY stuff. Very helpfully they found an offcut close to the size I needed rather than having to buy a one metre length. Stocked up on rolls as well.

During a Factory visit a few years ago I noticed a jig in the trimshop upon which hoods were being made, I think because MMC thought the CX cars would be so accurate
I wonder if they went back to the 'build & fit' on each individual car like the Trads were done would stop some of the issues CX owners are suffering

Could have been TM or, indeed, my wishful thinking.
