I've just fitted folding windscreen brackets to my 1993 Plus 8 and I need to remove the glued on windscreen mirror. Can anyone give advice on how to remove the mirror to avoid breaking the glass windscreen.

Ian, you can just remove the mirror from the mounting element that is stuck to the screen and stick it in the glove box..... best of both worlds?

actually just drop in to a local windscreen repair company and get them to fix it for you. Whatever they use works far better and it won't fall off. check to see if you have that £10 insurance rear deal on your insurance... they generally do it for that if you do.
