I've attempted a Darwin a few times but never made the grade. Usually involving a naked flame and something combustible.

Favourite winter trick was flashing thinners off, when painting something in adverse conditions. Only needed the extinguisher once.

scared exting

If you have an air rifle, take the can to an empty field and shoot the top of the can from a distance oops

Well I'm with Julian....large container of ACF-50 and a hand spray bottle.

Re aerosol , Take it outside and stick an old set of compasses point through the side furthest away from you whilst holding it vertical, puncture near the top and you won't lose any of the contents. Don't be surprised if there's nothing pressure wise left in it. Before you start if you can squeeze the can between fingers and thumb then there's little or no pressure. if it's hard then the valve has failed but you can still depressurise it quite easily.

Now ..... shock absorbers that's another story!. As an apprentice I was sent out to drill a hole at the top to depressurise them and dump the oil in the wast container!

All I can say there is I worked with a load of bar stewards! Mind you, they were so awful to work with that they caused me to change my life. I ended up flying helicopters, They still Had oily rags in their pockets!

Oh yes they tried but I knew the storeman well, firstly he really didn't have a sense of humour and he really wouldn't play along with the idiots as he called them!
My saving grace, or perhaps not was that my mum was one of the director's PA So Ron the store man would make sure the director would find me sent on the stupid task and he would storm into the workshop demanding to know which A... orifice sent me on the time wasting mission!

The Darwin award is given to people who do silly things and don't survive and it's ambidextrous so don't worry rofl

I was lucky to go to school on the Isle of Wight coast and when we weren't climbing on the cliffs, we enjoyed beach combing to see what flotsam & jetsam might have washed up. One time it appeared that a container containing butane canisters must have been swept overboard, resulting in 100s if not 1000s of the things washing up in Whitecliff Bay. Using the safety precaution of a drinking straw over the nozzle, we found that they made excellent flame throwers. Many a happy hour was spent burning anything that wasn't too damp. As far as I can recall there wasn't any loss of life on that occasion.
