Not your usual car filling up at Tesco

I waited for it to start up as I anticipated it would be good...wow, triggered a few car alarms and the elderly lady filling up at the pump near me jumped out of her skin !

Awesome!
Several years ago I was filling up in a petrol station Just off the M5, on route from picking up my Plus8 from Berrybrook. There was a pre-war Jag filling up. I waited for him to start and drive off.....a PROPER thunderous and raw sound. No photo unfortunately.

there weren't many prewar Jaguars, the best of the lot was the SS100, might this have been one of those.?

That is rare and lovely.

I was never a Vauxhall lover when I was young as the underlying engineering felt a bit thin. It is fair to say they did make some great specials including the 2300HS Chevette which I got a short run in and managed to avoid changing ends at every roundabout by the skin of my teeth.

Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

Vauxhall never got diffs right. You could always tell a RWD Cavalier coming from behind with the diff yowling like a banshee.

Rented a couple of Vauxhall Vectras back in the day. Got backache within ten miles.Mentioned the backache at my chiropracter...she asked if it was a Vauxhall..........................

Astras and Cavaliers gave me terrible back-ache. Especially a Cavalier CDX which had all the lumbar adjustment stuff.

Had two Omegas and I was fine in those. Loved the diesel Omega with the BMW 2.5 TD engine. It had to have an oil service every 4500 miles. That meant I never cleaned it myself. It also came with the ultimate extra - a fuel card. Happy days.
