Just read in the FT that one of those internationally owned Funeral Directors is significantly putting up prices due to the cost of living .
Sounds a bit odd really !

And on that subject a good number of years back, whilst driving through Manchester we spotted a Funeral Home and immediately above it was a billboard for Quantas Airlines with the campaign strap line “We get you down under quicker “ . That really tickled me ……never forgot it.

Remind me of a story I heard years ago. A lady repeatedly complained to the garage that her car would not run smoothly when warm. After checking everything several times the mechanic said take me out and show me the problem. So the lady got in pulled out the choke and hung her handbag on it!!! Problem solved!

It happens - I remember taking a car back under warranty because the clutch did not seem to be fully operational. It turns out my wife's husband had let the loose bit of carpet ride up under it. Exit me with egg on face.
