Morgan Motor Company used proprietary plastic bushes—specifically, blue Devlon S (a polyethylene plastic)—in their kingpins from roughly 2001 to 2005/2006.

Thanks guys,
Since it appears that the Nitron option is off the table my plan now is to return my car to the shop and have the adjustments made that will lead to better performance from my SSL kit.
Before I contact my fitter, I need to purchase a set of C spanners since my first shop apparently tossed the spanners along with the directions. My second fitter was able to secure a set of directions but has had to make his adjustments without the C spanners that were originally provided with the kit.
When I take my car back, I want to make sure he has the proper tools to make the adjustments.
Does anyone know what size C spanners came with the kit?

Do these images help? I don't think great precision is needed with the C spanner (and probably something could be improvised - eg with some 5mm plywood to turn the nut - it is a Morgan after all)

The ruler 1:1 scale is in mm.

And against a 1 cm squared paper:

these last images seem to have been scaled non linearly by the upload process somwhere.

The originals can be downloaded here:

the spanner is 4mm thick.

Ricosan - Quick question...

Do you have "brake reaction bars" fitted to your Morgan? They make one hell of a difference to front end handling on the Morgan.

Allon White brake reaction bars

Other Brake Reaction Bar providers are available (Melvyn Rutter's / Williams / Librands / Wolf Performance etc)

If you're careful you can adjust the rings with water pump pliers

If it’s as bad a ride as the OP has stated, then I feel it’s something beyond simple adjustment, though no one has mentioned the setting of the shockers. Could it be that they have been set to the hardest setting?
If that is not the culprit, then If it were mine, I would have each suspension leg completely dismantled to check the bushes and to make sure that all the components have been assembled in the right places…and preferably by a Morgan technician who knows what he is doing.

Just whip the dampers off and take it for a test drive - at least you can rule them out if it still bangs
