Has anyone figured a way to fit a bonnet belt to a (CX) 2025 Plus Four? Thanks.

This already exists at Morgan Belgium:
However, I haven't watched the installation thinking :

I would say just like a trad but why? It will scratch the paint unless you apply ppf

I was advised by MMC to not fit one to a CX (similarly, don't have a badge bar) as either could adversely affect the cooling airflow. Do as you wish, but that's the Morgan factory stance.

I've had the belt fitted to my CX from the start without any problems. It was built in 2022 and has 30,000 km on the odometer.
The mount and the belt are from Morganpark Hamburg.

Covering 2 louvres screws the cooling? I doubt that frankly.
Will it rub the paint , yes it will.
I don't like them & on my Brooklands fitted ppf to stop the wear & tear.
You can just see it in front of the belt.

I would suggest yes it would be possible, will it mark the paint yes, put PPF under the belt. If you like that look do it, however if you drive your mog the paint could get damaged. Keep in the garage for show, it will always look perfect, but that's not fun.

What purpose does the belt serve?
a) Stop the bonnet flying open?
b) Just for show?
a) is not needed. The bonnet catches do that.
b) if it is the image you like then ok...but, the paintwork is prone to damage. Especially over the
Louvres. Some bonnets can be ordered with a gap in the louvres that allows a belt to be fitted, removing the high danger area for damage.
Badge bars? My Plus8 came with one and several badges. I took most badges off as cooling on a Plus8 can be on the edge and didn't want interference with airflow. A rear badge bar? Not for me. I prefer the cleaner look on my Plus Four. A Welsh flag badge replaced the original on the bonnet sides. The dealer pre-empted that as a nice surprise for me. Save me swopping them.👍

I do not have a bonnet belt, though looking from the point of frontal impact, I suspect it might assist in helping things in place... Also from the point of adding a bit more vintage styling, I suppose it works rather well...? (-:

The belt serves no purpose. I like the vintage style 🤩
