I have a badge bar with a full selection of badges and the temperature indicator hasn't changed its level when the engine is up to temperature since fitting it, so I think that the "Don't fit a badge bar" is poppycock!!!

Leather dying is quite easy. Great leather dyes are sold in the UK or a batch can be made up for you. Your nation is famous for it. I used to use NUERA, who made dyes for the entire industry in the UK They have closed and taken over by BuffaloTradeProducts.co.uk If they are sweet as NUERA was, they will help. They can match anything. Then find a friendly belt maker or a equestrian tack shop or a shoe repair shop.

I wonder why these brackets are only for the Plus Four, what makes the Plus Six different in bonnet / engine bay design?

I can't answer that question because I don't have any experience with the Plus Six. Talk to Morganpark. The team is very helpful.

I colour matched my trinklet box and neck rolls with leather paint from the furniture clinic, match was perfect.

I have used Furniture Clinic. They do a colour match, sell kits, have videos. I currently have colour matched bottles for the Plus Four and a leather sofa we have.
The processes are similar to paint work. Applying the colourant is easy ( I use an airbrush or dab it on with a sponge). Fillers for deep marks, final sealant coat.
