Back when we had the shortage …..and in order to keep delivering our b2b print we used to go to Calais to fill up !
Strangely and ‘ominously’ Eurotunnel/Le Shuttle e mailed me and are doing £59 quick returns. Might be time to book again & fill up with wine
as well ?!

I bet they still manage to find enough diesel to power the "gimmigrant" free shuttle service across the channel.

I guess you have to assume that those who object to filling stations selling at the going price would of course sell their house at a discount on the market price.

At business school I was taught that a cost is a fact ( well it was a beancounter teaching) whereas a price is a decision.

Of course the alternative is to go electric, no rising fuel prices or fuel shortages to worry about. Just plug in your battery, top up and away you go..........it's quieter and we are told more environmentally friendly, don't have to reopen the North Sea....sounds a win win scenario to me.

Our local Diesel price has gone up to £1.90.

Bit tempted John but another car on the street would cost a further £350 for a permit .
We came back from the fossil coast mid week by train. Unfortunately my friends from the Bridport area are down to 125 miles of fuel and they cannot find any today. The big Morrisons is out of fuel and another large forecourt has one pump only dispensing fuel .

We decided to hunker down , eat & drink well and enjoy pottering about the house and garden.
You guys out motoring, what’s the situation like and anyone near Bridport with fuel info would appreciate it. They do know about gov site for prices but does this indicate availability?
Amazing how quickly things turn to **** . Globalisation was always a worry to me, so it’s down to Booker to stock up on loo rolls and tonic water…..have loads of gin but few mixers.

Ah, until the price of leccy rockets up because we import so much fuel to spin up the peak demand power stations ?

Read a few articles which suggest following the Easter break that Tuesday will be a critical day for refueling which may lead to further shortages as people look to top up tanks emptied over the long weekend travels..
