There doesn't seem to be any fuel shortage near where I live my wife has just filled her Golf up and there were no queues and petrol £1.499 per litre.

Just arrived in Gretna for an overnight stop on route further North. No apparent fuel shortages through mid Wales, topped up in Welshpool no problem. All locations on Motorways ok. Not used as price higher! Top up in the morning in Gretna then onward.
Got locations on the route as well so should be ok.

Seems you may also be lucky with the weather sospan, given the wind rain and snow over the Easter weekend in my part of Scotland... Just about to head out myself for a run round the Trossachs, I will pass one petrol station/shop, will be interested to see if there are any signs of queues..?

Our local Tesco keeps selling out. Now at 154 e10 and 189 diesel. BP next door 159 & 198 respectively. Both have blanked off pumps as I cruised by in the EV.

Enjoy it whilst you can John, I'm sure once the winds stop blowing and we have to turn the conventional power stations back on, it could become a whole load of misery for everyone. Isn't there some notion of introducing a further tax on EV'S if they do over 10,000 miles a year......

At least the sun is shinning at the moment, despite the fuel prices the roads are still packed.around here....

The lack of intervention in the market place, even making preparations in advance of the conflict seems to be the continuing legacy of this Government. It 's only the upcoming May local elections and the potential loss of upto 2000 council seats ( which they tried to stop for many authorities) that seems to prompt the backbenchers to pressure the Energy Secretary to open up the North Sea

Well at this rate they wont have to worry about their manifesto pledges to support the working population, as day by day there are increasing less of them working........

No signs of queuing at my local 12 pump petrol station, though sadly no 97 oct at any of the pumps... Hmm? I used about 1/4 tank of my run still got 3/4`s left, so nowhere near panic stations. Never taken the Tesla round the Trossachs, but if needs must..!

Enjoyed a grand 78 mile run in the sun, there was a few campervans about and quite a few cyclists but miles of very interesting and engaging traffic free Tarmac to enjoy... (-:

But that nice man Millibrain tells me we just need renewables. Frankly I fully agree and if Trump goes full tonto Wed am it can only get far worse.

Seeing as Trump has now started armaggedon by attacking Kharg Island it could be lights out soon.

It was on the cards from the outset, Kharg Island is key to the Iranian oil distribution and it's really all about oil. I also get a feeling that other islands will be in the wash up.....eg UAE disputes ownership with Iran over three strategic islands in the Persian Gulf: Abu Musa, Greater Tunb, and Lesser Tunb. Iran has controlled these islands since 1971, following the withdrawal of British forces, but the UAE maintains its sovereignty claim, creating a long-standing diplomatic dispute. I'm sure a few more old scores will be settled in the coming days and weeks..

That's reassuring, ours being a coastal destination most of our local fuel stations have no diesel and increasingly more of the petrol pumps are shut down as the tanks are emptying. Hopefully it just because of Easter and incoming tourists increasing demand, and not a foretaste of what's to come.
