Chris, thanks for the clarification on the earlier cars. As I'm not sure when in 2013 Russel's car was built, and as Morgan is rather inconsistent when some upgrades are introduced, who knows.
Tom, yes, I'm looking forward to the jaunt out to Morgan to see my car next week. I happened across it Monday, premiering in someone's factory video posted to Facebook when they tagged MMC and nearly fell out of my chair! It is good to see it exists!
Russell, we can talk when I get back.

Hi Russell, it's worth checking which TSM you have and is pretty straightforward to unplug the TSM and then just count the pins. If it was built in 2012 or early 2013 it will probably have 12 pins and is a different TSM. As far as I know the 18 pin lasted for the rest of production except for European EU4 cars which have a 14 pin TSM. I understand Morgan have stocks of all versions of the TSM available through their dealers, however their 18 pin units will still have the vulnerability to voltage spikes.

The earlier 12 pin TSM's don't seem to be quite so fragile as the later 18 pin items.....but they do still fail. The 12 pin ones are only available via Morgan. If you have problems with rear lights, it's worth checking the cable loom under the leather strap at the boot lid hinge as well, it does get crushed and the wires break and short out there, certainly worth protecting better if they are OK still.
I agree with all the other comments about the fuel pump being the problem with your M3W. I did the first Walbro pump fit and it is still going strong with no issues. It's well worth replacing the standard pump even if you have no problems. It will fail at some point and probably at the most inconvenient time, much better to do it in the garage with all the tools and parts available.

Nukebug: Greetings from El Paso, just a few hundred miles West of you. . Only in Texas would someone say "El Paso to DFW.... just a FEW hundred miles" LOL (trying to make a joke)

Texas is a big state. And no, I haven't done this trip in the M3W yet!

Just change the fuel pump if you think your m3w is on the original pump and take any fault diagnosis from there. The right hand cylinder is fed first from the fuel pump. Good luck, Steve

Craig - thanks for the offer to see if it fixes the issue! I will be taking you up on that.
Chris - regardless of the outcome of the above, I will want to order one, just to have it. From what I understand, as most things are on the M3M, it is good to have a spare.
To All - I have ordered a new fuel pump and filter, and I have my fingers crossed that it will fix my immediate engine problems.

The history of the upgraded Turn Signal Module (TSM) is well documented on https://www.talkmorgan.com/ubbthreads.php/topics/696377/4It was developed by Alister as a private project and he produced an initial batch based on the level of interest at that time. When these ran out he was able to produce further batches based on minimum order quantities so I have personally funded the last 3 batches and handled the onward sale (at cost) and distribution. The last batch has now sold out but I will be prepared to go ahead with a further batch of 10 if I get enough provisional orders. The cost from the last batch was is £90 per module plus post and packing (which for the USA was £25 including the Trump tariff and customs fee). If anyone would like to go on the waiting list please let me know. Please note this TSM is only applicable to 18 pin units used from sometime in 2013 onwards and excludes EU4 cars. While I will want a replacement TSM, is there an easy way to tell which TSM that I have without removing it? it looks a bit difficult to get to

While I will want a replacement TSM, is there an easy way to tell which TSM that I have without removing it? it looks a bit difficult to get to You don't need to remove the TSM to check the pins, simply remove the fusebox cover and the TSM is below the ECU. It's a black box about 5x4 cm or so. The plug is at the bottom and can be unplugged by pressing the side of the connector and pulling it out. Then count the pins in the plug.

Nukebug, I take it you are aware that the full instructions for the replacement of the fuel pump, including details of all the parts required, are available in the Owners Resources at the top of this forum? If you follow these instructions you should have no problems with the fuel pump again.
