Having unintentionally left my indicators going on a number of occasions, I am going to install the car builder buzzer, I have read other threads on this but am asking If any one has tapped into the cables coming out of the relay, would this be bad practice?
I have not yet identified the relay but assume it is close to the bulkhead and a short run to have the buzzer under the dash near the steering column

I tapped into the indicator wire where it came out of the light and fitted the buzzer high up behind the spare wheel, works for me.

Similar to Keith I tapped into the two indicator feeds within the rear light loom that runs along the o/s inner wooden rear wheel arch. Buzzer located under carpet behind drivers seat.

As Keith says, much easier to access wiring in the rear loom (usually offside - access from spare wheel hole)

If you think about it, when you're driving your head is close to this area too for location of the buzzer

If you're happy with a buzzer on all the time with the indicators, you can get two and three pin indicator relays with built in buzzers - just remove old and put in new.

I have a buzzer with a built in time delay so it only comes on after a certain number of flashes, and it silences when the brake pedal is used. That required a bit more wiring/splicing.

The relays with the built in buzzers may not be loud enough (if for example you are using aeroscreens.)
If you carefully drill a small hole (1/8") in each face of the plastic relay case the volume will increase, if too loud tape up one hole at a time until it suits.
