I always thought that the brake discs were one of the few Morgan-specific parts. Can you not get your existing discs refaced?

TBH I'd be surprised if they were worn beyond their service limit in only 12 years, Morgans tend to do pretty low mileages and tend to wear their brakes very lightly. I replaced my 4/4's discs at 83k miles, but that was mainly because I was upgrading the brakes anyway.

Our 2014 4/4 had new disks fitted around the 7 year mark - the originals were badly warped. I think there may have been one of those quality issues!

The replacement set were fine at the point I traded the car in.

The discs are warped , i would like to get them skimmed on the car but I think only Melvyn does it for splined hubs and he’s quite a distance from me.

Are there any competent machine shops around you? It wouldn't be a difficult job to machine them square with the hub faces. But if the 2014 discs are known for warping then the safe bet might well be to cough up for a new set.

I would replace the discs first at that age, you won't find cheap copies as they are MMC specific

If you still find you have some runout, (sometimes felt as a slight oscillation when brakes used gently) the only really accurate cure is to skim on the car because Mog hubs aren't the most accurate

I can recommend Melvyn as he had made an adaptor to drive the splined hubs with the skimming machine & it transformed the previous Roadster issues we had
