Stumbled across this A.I. (?) generated circa 11 min vid on some things that Scots can be very proud of.... other than some empty and interesting roads and scenery in our rain soaked little land... You might find some interest in the vids contet...?

Good post highlighting the influence of Scottish thinkers of the time, but in the spirit of enlightenment, let’s not stop thinking for ourselves either.

Now that's a beautiful thing .... a Gaff Cutter with its topsail set (guessing it was a failrly calm evening( ... used to sail one (though not quite as beautiful as this!) in the Moray firth ... belonged to a mate of mine ... pretty fast rig downwind! .... what's not to like about a proper boat!! 🙂

Two went by but I was too late to catch a picture of the first, she was too far out.
There may be an event round the corner, I’d guess they would have tied up in the Broch last night.
It was a calm evening, they weren’t fast.

In the time honoured method of TM thread drift, last week I was helping a friend bending on sails for this season, and unfortunately I was required to visit the top of the mast when we had an issue, for sure, way past that sort of nonsense even in a bosuns chair, but needs must... Definitely intend to avoid ever doing that again if possible. At least partially on topic as I was made in Scotland... (-:

I had a few ground loop sessions off my 20' ladder so I'm forbidden above 12' now until she goes out, which is often.

She is of course right it gets a bit messy above 12'.

George, that’s a job for a nutcase, probably also what the doctor entitles the prognosis when wearing a bosuns’ chair goes wrong.
