Wandered into the local garage to book the Mog in for it`s MOT, spotted a white 90`s Lancia Delta HF, OZ wheels, Momo steering wheel and emblazoned with Martini stripes, the owner detected my interest and began to chat. The car a left hooker, originally from Germany, then to England and has resided in Scotland for the last 9 years or so, apparently it has never seen the rain, it was spotless, and obviously very rarely driven... Oh well whatever floats ones boat...The chap a baby boomer like myself, has no intentions of ever selling it.... A museum piece if ever there was.

Luddite, at least you have a 'phone, apart from a burner I keep in the back of the car for brake downs, I haven't given in to one yet, I see no need and will hold out until forced by circumstances beyond my control, now that's a real luddite attitude

Lord Wroxham - a little reality check, how exactly are you posting on here - a 1st Class stamp on a postcard maybe innocent.

My good lady also refuses to have a mobile but gladly uses mine and I recently snuck her a minimal cost new Google Chrome book and she is a frequent user after the initial denial period. Well worth the £125 on offer from EE at the time as I got my phone back and it does everything and far more than her needs at present and she's big enough to say she finds it useful.

p.s. Many such burner phones will let you down in anger as if you do not use them they drop you off assuming you have snuffed it I imagine. This happened to my MIL's car phone when she wanted it most.

Ah Rich, I am wise to the problem of being cut off from lack of use, a quick call to home phone and all is well for at least a month,

It was when I was abolut o finish university.
Had the Alfa Spider for MOT (TÜV) and the garage had a couple of Delta HF for sale.
Feeling nearly ready to conquer the world I strolled around and somehow began to dream.
The garage owner aproached me an just said: Forget about it - you can`t afford it"
And he added: "I am the garage and I can not...."

So very low milage seems to be a good way of keeping them...
