Electric Plus8? Surely all the power would be needed to provide the V8 soundtrack? Nothing left for performance!!!

The only reason to produce something like THAT can be EU-required fleet consumption. As for the carbon footprint the PlusE is horrible, just think of the energy needed to produce the batteries. Compare that to a new 4/4 (45MPG, materials used, average car lifespan...) and the whole experiment turns from "green" to idiotic.

Surely not a ’Plus' 8 but a 'Positive' 8 Bet the press would still be 'negative'!

Guys, We just have to accept that the "Green" agenda of hybrids and batteries etc is currently a political issue and the car-makers responses are also purely political. In time, perhaps, there may be a solution to carbon fuels, but at present it is just NOT there. The current hybrids and plug-ins are "greener" in operation, but definitely NOT greener over there full life from manufacture to death!!
I expect it will take a load of this Bullsh*t to go on for a while until there is a real solutio.
Perhaps Morgan may get there with the (almost forgotten) Life car project ----now where has that gone????????
Cheers!

Yup, the whole thing needs a holistic answer. With the 'greenies' or should that be the "green wellie brigade" supporting this tosh, it's going to take a long time before the truth will out.
Cheers,
