Most expensive fuel was in Holland at 2.62 for cooking grade and 2.81 premium (euros)

Cheapest in France 1.99 but usually 2.15+ sometimes same cost for E95 or 98 at same pump (SHMBO got good at spotting that)

Nice 100 odd mile round trip to Castle Acre in glorious sunshine with Mrs FT following a recommendation from RichardV6. Very interesting place; well worth a visit. Popped into the English distillery on the way home.

HMS Medusa: The Last of Its Kind

HMS Medusa, also known as the Harbour Defence Motor Launch (HDML) 1387, was a crucial vessel in the Royal Navy's efforts to protect harbors during World War II. Built in Poole in 1943, she played a significant role in the D-Day invasion by marking the approach channels through minefields at Omaha Beach. Medusa's endurance and navigational capabilities were vital in ensuring the safety of the Allied forces during the invasion. After the war, she underwent extensive restoration and became a training ship and a hydrographic survey vessel. The Medusa Trust continues to preserve and operate HMS Medusa for future generations, ensuring that her story and the skills of operating a small ship are passed on.

This operation was the first time the Decca Navigator Company two range chain was utilised to enable the mine sweepers to mark the cleared channel for the rest of the fleet to follow and was the start of the Global system that I worked for from 1969 for 32 years.

Been to the English Distillery a few times as I can walk there from home. Not been on a tour yet though and wonder if I could walk back afterwards

Spectacular colours, currently on my way to Manchester Piccadilly to buy a pair of shoes, I slept in a wee bit so had to rush to catch my flight, in my haste I’ve put on two different ones!😂

Not a mile off and given the lack of precise symmetry on most Morgans, I think I could be forgiven.
