It happened again, on the way back from Spa I ended up among a gang of cycling terror/tourists who want to brave the course of Liège Bastogne Liège.

For more than 5 Km it went uphill shifting between 1 and 2.
And when I finally had been able to drive on again, I felt the spring of the clutch pedal snap just before Liège.
It has only been 13 months, 7 to 8000Km since the last time I replaced the spring.
There was so much play on the pedal that I did the rest of the route via the highway.

This was the cause of the play, axle half worn away.

So, looking for a new spring and axle.
But Belmog, who has stopped in the meanwhile, only has a left spring in stock and no axle.
Morgan Belgium to the rescue crazy2 They are on leave until next week.
And we are leaving for the South of France next week, then only DIY can help.

I made a new axle myself and the play on the pedal is gone, perfectly drivable without a spring.
During assembly I saw that the brake pedal also has a righthand spring but can also be provided with a lefthand spring.

Got a left spring from Belmog and exchanged it with the clutch and everything is back the way I like it, although it was a bit hectic.

Well done! ... proper bush-fix.

Was going to ask if you'd carved the new pin with a pen-knife until I realised that it was camera distortion making the head look oval! 😆

Good luck on your France trip

Arrived home after 10 days in the Highlands. Images soon. Just over 1,000 miles, slightly less than last year which included John O'Groats.

No problem with fuel anywhere.

Not the most highly technical fix ever but after experiencing the benefit of having a phone mount on my Royal Enfield Classic 350 (Quadlock Christmas present from Mrs FT) I finally got around to getting a phone holder for the Plus 4. Got the link to Amazon from a previous thread on TM. Sorry about the distorted pic. Link should be here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0B9MPBB5K?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title

Don't know why the pic distorted!

I still haven't managed to recreate the distorted pic issue on tm-img. If someone wants to email me a pic that they have trouble with, I'll see if I can figure out what's going wrong.

This squashed image effect only happens when I take a picture on the iPhone and transfer directly to TMimages and onto Talkmorgan.

So if I take a pic on the iPhone and email to my desktop then transfer to the image gallery then copy and paste the BB into a TM post no distortion takes place, so logic would tend to indicate the iPhone to gallery transition is the Achilles heel imho.

I've suffered the distortion issue too

My cure was to very slightly edit the photo on the mobile (even just a tiny crop off one edge) and the image library reads it correctly
