Yes, check your engine.

Seriously, you need to obtain a (free) copy of the S&S Protune software (https://racing.sscycle.com/support/) which requires a Windows computer and a cable with a Mini B end, and plug it into the ECU to see what the error codes might be. There are many possibilities of error codes. If the engine appears to be running fine, there is a good probability it's related to the automatic fueling adjustment made by the ECU going beyond its design threshold. You can (usually) reset the check engine light by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes, but then you won't know what caused the error in the first place. I would get the software and see for certain what the issue might be.

Some years ago when I bought my car and was new to the scene i had my engine light come on. I ran my car on super unleaded ever since and after a couple of tank fulls the light went out and has never come back on. Now its been years without it. Obviously it could be something more serious so you definitiely need to check but when my checks found nothing concerning that is what I did. And as of yesterday I got my car back from service/mot/taxed so back on the road. Therefore apologies to all for the rain we have had since!

My engine light came on for over a year. Protune indicated a cylinder adaptation fault. I tried everything: intake manifold gasket, MAP sensor, complete throttle body with sensor, and other lambda sensors. Nothing changed. Later, the problem disappeared, and the engine ran perfectly.

My 132cc transsexual engine sometimes has its engine light come on at startup and go off after 30 seconds, or it comes on briefly during hard deceleration on steep descents and goes off as soon as I accelerate again.
So, I'm no longer worried about seeing it on. I haven't checked Protune for a long time when it's running perfectly. I've even tried four different types of injectors, but it didn't make any difference and the engine runs very well.
