Sunny day so a run out in the country ... obligatory stop to support the Drive Cafe ... cuppa and a sausage-roll then back on the road 🙂 ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2026/05/23/20260523_121549.jpg) This lovely Morris dropped by to celebrate the 'birthday' of its original registration date ..... 102 years ago ... sounded good and lasting well! ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2026/05/23/20260523_121440.jpg) There were any number of modern Porsches in and out but (and I know it's a minority opinion here!) They leave me cold ... I think they're just wonderful cars but they don't touch my heart (possibly just too 'good') ....This is the era that bucks that trend ... I have a soft spot for the older 911 ... particularly in 'frog-green' ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2026/05/23/20260523_121513.jpg) K

Hmm..? In terms of reliability given the degree of complexity involved, I would be far more confident relying in the tec involved in the 911 in your image, than in my (beautiful to my eyes) 991.1 C4S As ever each to their own.. Yup, the Waverley is down South of Watford George for a spell. She trudged her weary way from Oban to Falmouth then onwards to Dartmouth, this is her disgorging passengers prior to reloading for Plymouth at 1700 departure. ![[Linked Image]](https://tm-img.com/images/2026/05/23/wa.jpeg)

My good lady and I sailed out of Oban on her and around Staffa drifting off Staffa to provide all aboard time to view inside the cave... In subsequent years we sailed their on our own and went ashore. There was a large puffin colony on the island some years back, though no site of them the last time we visited.

Will really have to make the effort to take a trip on the Waverley ... don't know why I haven't already because it's the sort of thing that's right up my street. Just so much to do and only one life I guess 🙂
As an aside to my pics above the gent who owned the bullnose Morris also has a +8 gradually being rebuilt.

Lovely trip on the Waverley this afternoon from Penzance to Lands End, and back. Didn’t realise she was down this way until I saw her in St Austell Bay yesterday heading for Meva so quickly booked tickets for today. She will be in Padstow tomorrow if anyone is able to get down.

Looks like a nice drive out Jens .... it always amazes me where palm trees can grow ... there are even some in gardens in my local town of Fraserburgh ... windy, coastal and nothing between it and the Arctic 🙂
