Good evening!
I may have the opportunity to purchase an M3W with very low mileage (built in 2016) on the clock. The 3-Wheeler belongs to a collector who has driven only 300 km over the last 10 years. A service (the first one) was carried out in April of this year by an authorized Morgan dealer.
What technical risks should I expect as a buyer when considering a 10-year-old M3W that has hardly been driven at all? Thank you in advance for your thoughts.

I would rather have a sensible mileage one than low mileage like that due to the engine sitting. Seals not being lubricated, drying out, you could find quite a few issues. Fuel system, tank, lines. For me the price would have to be lower than higher. A sensible 5k to 10k 2016 would have had most of the issues ironed out I would have thought.

Buy it for a reasonable price and bring it to M3W Services France for a complete upgrade. That is the only way to get a trouble free M3W

Thanks for your replies so far.
@Laurens What do you mean with a ‚full upgrade‘? The m3w was build in 2016 so all important upgrades should be already ex factory standard.

@schorschie, Laurens is simply saying that if you can take it to M3WServices in France, they can give it a complete inspection and they can repair any issues that may have been caused by little use. I agree that the 2016 should have all of the upgrades from ~2014, but they can help sort if you have any cracking tubes, belts, check the seals, etc. It is well worth the check, and M3WServices know what they are doing. Although I am in Texas, I have used Craig at M3WServices for parts and advice. He is a wealth of knowledge and we have considered flying him to the US for a national tour!

If you haven't seen it already, I recommend you take a good look at the BUYERS GUIDE. There are several desirable upgrades & modifications listed in the document to correct issues that our cars (even the later ones) had when they left the factory.

Just to clarify - Steve is at m3wservices based in France - www.m3wservices.com - whilst Craig is based in the UK - 2 totally separate companies.

Andy, Thanks for your advice. I have, of course, read the M3W Buyers' Guide. However, my question specifically relates to 3-wheelers that have been sitting unused for many years and the kinds of problems one can expect in such cases. I didn't find any information about that in the guide.
