Shocked at your solution TBM - thought you would have sent them on a residential course on ‘How to be kind’ followed by an increase in benefits.

Yes it hit me at a particularly benevolent (malevolent) moment, a sign of weakness but I'll work on it..

No, ... you wouldn't be the same if you got all 'cross-legged on a mountain top' and passive ... a little honest abrasiveness is no bad thing .... we're tough, we can take it! 😆

I have got all the time in the world for those who genuinely deserve it. However, some people make decisions that do not warrant my kindness and empathy.

Few years back my neighbour presented me with a video of a bloke tampering with my bikes. Within 24hrs I had his name and address, and I eventually managed to convince the local feds that he was actually committing a crime They did arrest him, but.coudn't find the three copies of the video I'd sent them so let him go without charge.

I let the dust settle for a year or so. He won't be stealing anymore motorbikes.

Car nicked last night from two roads away and a Porsche 911 had both headlights taken ! It’s getting like the Wild West in south London .
We had a council lamp post cctv put up to tackle crime a few years ago but they say it cost £5000 and they haven’t got many to move about, so you only get it for a few months.
Still a neighbour has put in a request for it to come back again.
Many residents have super cameras and can hear people talking yards away but it has only resulted in a few crashes recorded with positive results - but still only a small percentage of issue.
Some years back 50 houses and cars were hit by a BB gun drive by in the area.
Plod drafted in lots of officers etc but could not get all there nighttime camera footage and catch the Scroats !! Even we as residents could make out the make of vehicle from the light clusters.
Anyone had their Morgan stolen. Is this a thing ?
Off to the seaside of Dorset now to enjoy walking on Chesil Beach, the joys of Bridport and a meal out with some of my wife’s relatives in their late 80s and mid 90s ! Saves on the starters…….ho ho . Might drive through West Coker in the hope of trying to catch a glimpse of a members white (ivory) Morgan…

Stolen Morgans are vanishingly rare ... have only heard of a couple anywhere in Europe over the years.

One slight issue is the new owner's push to knock a few decades off their customer demographic ... we're starting to see 'tik-tok style' vids (often by attractive young women) hypeing the cars ... I do wonder if we might see one or two Morgans go joyriding against their will to satisfy youngsters' curiosity or tick a 'I blagged one of those' box .... the web seems to drive all sorts of short-lived trends and obsessions.

In the 90's I worked in London and had a shortish daily drive to a rail station for the commute. My company car was a Renault 19 16v, quite a 'hot hatch' in it's day.

One evening I arrived back at the station to find the car missing. A week later it was returned to the station with damage to the front. As you would expect this was repaired, and the daily routine re-commenced.

A couple of months later exactly the same thing happened: missing - returned damaged - repaired.

My line manager said "don't let it happen again", so we came to an arrangement where I got a parking space in the office car park. Early morning starts, but great fun driving in at a relatively quiet time, evening return drives were, unfortunately a different story.
