Now this is a beauty with a very high spec and good mileage, get rid of the rack and spare wheel you have the best Morgan ever made, not keen on black but some are.

A bit pricey, methinks. That price is about £500 more than when new & although that might not have been unusual a handful of years ago, I think it is now a rareity.

A quick search on Car and Classic shows 57 4/4s currently for sale, only 4 of which are priced above this one. The market has changed hugely. When I bought mine there were only about a dozen for sale at any one time and they were quickly snapped up when they became available. Now we see cars hanging around for months and months before finding a buyer.

For £6k more they have a 2012 75th 4/4 Anniversary with the more powerful 2L duratec engine.

Mine was 27750 with Motolita wheel and stainless chassis covers brand new from Henry in 2009. This one has Motolita, door pockets easy up, rack and spare wheel so not like for like comparison at all..

It would look nicer without the rack and spare wheel - as a “Sport” model, it has the flat back, not intended to carry a spare.
Even though black is not my top choice, I would happily drive this one!

Surprisingly there's only about 20 kgs difference between the weight of a duratec and sigma engine, and the spare wheel and rear rack (about 20 to 25k ) would add considerably to the 4/4 rear weight bias, so not quite as pure.
Without question my 2012 Plus 4 sport was the best handling trad, I have enjoyed, so I like the sport versions as long as they haven't added lots of weight to dilute the purity. Nice cars.

It's waaaaaaaay too expensive..........😁
Mid 20k's is the level for a 4/4 sport if someone actually wants to sell it.... £25,995..... and be prepared to take £25k.....
The 75th anniversary, fabulous as it is, is £29995.....tops.....!!!😁 I sold mine at auction a few years ago.
Morgans just don't seem to be popular nowadays with the mid life crisis car buyer.

As I pointed out obviously the extras like spare wheel and travesty of a rear rack side pockets and easy up need removing to return this car to true Sport status - it is now a lardy standard 4/4 not an 800Kg lithe beast. Unless you have driven a 4/4 Sport you won’t get it, they are special and Morgan got back into focus in 2009 as they realised they had lost their way with heated seats, easy up roofs and spare wheels et al.
