Will someone please inform me of the absolute correct engine oil filter numbers/brands for a 2025 Plus Four U.S. with a BMW 4 cylinder twin-scroll turbo? I'm not confident in the ever-changing information I'm getting from the dealer. And when googled, I get several different part numbers to further my confusion.

Also, when should the first oil change be done? The maintenance chart in the owners manual shows first change in 3,000 miles and then every 10,000 miles. The dealer says first 1,000 miles.

Thanks for clearing this up for me.

Its BMW part 11428575211. Note your Plus Four is part of CX series so future posts should be in that section for better response.

Note there were alternatives for transverse mount B48 engines which may have led to confusion.

Thank you Richard. I thought I was in the correct CX forum when I posted the new thread. Realized too late that I was not.

Just to say and still in the incorrect place! I would change any new car oil and filter at 1000 miles just to be safe. What feels like a hundred years ago now I was told that an oil and filter change at 3000 mile intervals was the cheapest repair bill you will ever get given. Moggin I don't know how many miles a year you will do over there in your car but an annual oil and filter is a must on any car regardless of use. Service intervals are constantly stretched to keep ownership costs competitive, But this doesn't mean they are the best you can do for your engine rather what the manufacturer can get away with on a short term ownership basis. so I will leave you to decide on your service routine.... and enjoy your plus four!
