Anything to watch out for removing a Plus Six door card pls?.

It seems its the same as the Plus Four from the TM photos, screws along bottom and the top on catch side, plus the inner door release handle screw, then push in connectors along top, so card then has to be eased upwards and off..

Its been pushing 40 deg here today, I have been hearing and chasing a squeak/rattle for the last 1000 miles, that I thought was coming from the drivers side window pillar. However, this morning the drivers side inner door handle stopped working, so i suspect the plastic connector on the inner door latch rod has popped off or broken, most likely due heat and road vibration etc. Failure of the plastic connector for the inner handles rod seems a common problem.

Interestingly the squeak/rattle that i thought was coming from the front has now completely stopped and the car is quiet.. so the inner release handle rod or its connector is most likely the cause of all the noise..
I doubt I will try and fix the issue until we get home to the workshop, easy enough to use the outer handle to release the door.

I believe they are the same. I used tie wraps to bet a better fixing of the rod.
On one side of my car it came off really easily the other less so . But to get to hadle etc you only need to take out the bottom half.
the pictures are of doors minus the cards. The bottom comes off by removing the screws under the door & the screw in the handle. There is then push fit connector into a metal bracket, you can see it in pic 3 on the bottom right. You probably can do it with this still attached.

Thank you John, that's good info. I thought the door card was one piece, not in two sections, so as you say taking just the lower section off only should give access if the issue is the rod connector.
I agree with the tie wrap mod, also a couple of stainless washers on the rod to spread the spring load.
I am fairly confident that the early to mid range MY Six use the same basic door design as similar year Fours.
If I find the issue is just an uncoupled clip then I will do the same modification with tie wraps etc on the near side.
The clip design seems easy to fail coupled with rough roads and associated body shocks.
