Does anyone know what the latest Plus Four or SuperSport is using for its Bluetooth receiver.?
I was thinking of changing our Six from the Plug-in Aux cable to a Bluetooth receiver. The older models used to use a MusicStream ISBT 23 made by ISimple. However, these are no longer manufactured according to the Web. There are a couple of websites that show UK availability, but its looking like these are mirrored rip off sites when you investigate their company address etc...( I am chasing Visa to be refunded!! ).

Well AI suggests the following:-
Better Alternatives

If you are replacing a faulty unit or upgrading a Morgan that didn't come with Bluetooth, car audio installers generally advise against hunting down the exact original module. The factory "MusicStream" setup is known among owners for having a weak signal, a high noise floor, and lacking basic track-skipping controls

Instead, you can easily wire any high-quality universal 12V Bluetooth 5.0+ receiver directly into the hidden Kenwood amplifier. This will give you a more reliable connection, better range, and superior audio fidelity while keeping the hardware completely hidden to preserve the car's classic dashboard look.

Always ground your new receiver to the exact same grounding point as your hidden Kenwood amplifier to keep the loop closed.

Ignition vs. Constant Power:

Wire the red power lead of the receiver into a switched (ACC) 12V line, not a constant battery line. Otherwise, the module will stay alive 24/7, slowly draining your car's battery and keeping your phone connected even when parked in the garage. Are you planning to install this device yourself, or would you like help finding a professional car audio installer to handle the wiring?AI responses may include mistakes. Not sure what cable connectors your car has Dave but this USB powered bluetooth device hooks up to RCA connectors. In any case there are a plethora of such devices just Google. In terms of sound quality on such there are no gains for spending silly money.

Once paired with your phone all audio from it, music files/streaming, internet radio app (if installed), sat nav voice, sound notifications, calls etc. should be sent to car speakers.

I've deleted my bluetooth connection. The standard set up on my Plus Six never dropped bluetooth connection, but was very poor, tinny quality from the rest of the set up. On longer trips I now use Bose noise cancelling headphones, with bluetooth connection to my phone. They fit fine over my cap and sunglasses!

Thank you both John and Richard.. What I am trying to do is connect the cars Garmin DriveSmart 75 MT-S nav system to the cars speakers via a Bluetooth connection.

Presently I have this working by using a male-male Aux jack cable connection between the dedicated connector that comes with the Garmin Nav system plugged into the vehicles ( as Morgan designed ) female Aux plug for the speakers located in the glove box/tidy area in front of the passenger.
This method of connection works but its untidy.. too many wires. Note: This method of speaker connection was used on the Plus Six earlier cars until a MusicStream ISBT23 was fitted in cars in the factory. The Aux plug input and its associated electronics box is simply replaced under the dash by the MusicStream Bluetooth ISBT23 receiver, all sound connections are RCA plugs etc, this then connects to the under dash volume control and then back to the amp in the back of the car.

The Garmin DriveSmart 75 states it is possible to connect to a cars speakers by the Aux plug or Bluetooth.

Now I have tried in the past to use a Bluetooth receivers sound output plugged directly by Aux jack into the car speakers female Aux jack ( as above ), however, for some reason the Garmin does not see the receiver.. It will happily pair with a mobile phone, but will not see the "add on" Bluetooth receiver. The Garmin Nav also has an option to pair with Bluetooth speakers, but again, using this route the Garmin does not see the receiver. I am guessing that the Garmin pairs with a mobile phone in a Receive/Send mode, but I can not yet understand why it will not pair in Bluetooth speaker mode as the data flow must be from the Garmin to the Bluetooth Speaker ( one way only) . Unless a Bluetooth speaker connection is also two way like a phone.??

I will need to keep digging for info on this, guess I need to look up the various Bluetooth types.. I think the latest is Bluetooth 6.

May I suggest you ask AI on what you want to 'pair' up and see what it recommends. I found my older mobile won't pair to the system yet a much more recent one did with ease......could be an issue over blue tooth version compatibilty, I know it shoudn't be, but I found that out from experience.

Does BT reciever in the car support more than one device? Have you tried with the phone off.

If the audio device such as headphones or speakers is "multipoint" it should be able to support two Bluetooth connections simultaneously switching seemlessly between the two. A modern phone being a master device can theoretically handle up to seven bluetooth connections although hardware limitations can reduce this dramatically. My own experience is that Bluetooth has been a flaky system since it's outset and I still get reconnection issues to this day with just one connection.

Ironically my budget bike reliably supports two Bluetooth connections from phone, one to its TFT screen for mapping/position, the other to helmet audio system for voice instructions, music streaming or phone calls.

I had the Bluetooth receiver on my P6 replaced under warranty by the factory. No issues in the new one, but they did have to provide new fobs, so the factory fitted BT on my car appears to be linked to both ICE and central locking.

Interesting topic, my '25MY Plus Four is always either dropping the blue tooth signal or will not easily connect, taking multiple tries before it finally decides to go with the flow. As `High Hamster suggested, it may be a faulty receiver, so as it is still under warranty, I will ask the dealer to check it out. Maybe it would be better to upgrade to a better quality unit anyway?
