4 cylinder and calling it the same "SuperSport" seems to be a bit of a cheat. Almost $30,000 more for just the different look? supersport lite?

The four cylinder is powerfull enough and lighter. The only advantage of the six cylinder is the noise and the fact that it is a six cylinder.

The 6 cylinder is a good engine, smooth and loads of torque that can be transformed into a tiger with throttle. You need to drive the four and the six back to back to see the difference. For me I would have liked a V8 with plenty of cubes... but heh ho.. I would have thought the USA would have preferred the bigger engine if it was available.

+1 on the six. Creamy smooth, until the throttle goes down hard, then it's all hands to the pumps!
I hope the 4cyl Supersport doesn't signify moving towards the end of the traditional body shape.

Power isn't everything, sometimes a lighter more agile car, can be more rewarding to drive, especially in the ever growing speed camera controlled zones. A lighter more economical Supersport probabily in auto quise for the extra torque, with maybe 20 to 30 kg less kgs on the front of the car might make it quite a sharp handling car.

might not be in the uk but ask the americans if they would prefer a 4 cylinder engine to a v6 or v8. the roads here are different to the usa and so is our car culture.

Exactly—offering a smaller engine in the land of V8s and big displacement than in Europe does seem a bit strange.

I think the 4 cylinder is all they can offer - it’s better than no Supersport at all.

I would prefer a big cube V8.. but i worked with Americans a lot over the years and in the states, so a bit biased..also not a lover of this countries roads and what they have turned into...we have done more miles in France in the Six than the UK recently.
