The thread title is very apt! I've seen this actual car in the metal and had a very good look around it. Unfortunately, to my eyes, it isn't successful at capturing the elegance of the vehicle it is meant to emote. It feels over sized - more than likely as a result of the Jag under pinnings - and whilst there are a few aesthetically pleasing angles (the ad leads with the best), for the most part I found it looked very ungainly... akin to a professional athlete who then decided to live on a diet of donuts and soda for a few years. Perhaps the size is an unfair criticism because 'safety' legislation, customer demands, and building methods and increased the size of all modern reworks of classic cars: VW Beetle, BMW Mini, Porsche with their own 911 (park a 1970 next to a 991 and you'll see just how much they've grown!). As for the interior... once more, the Jag components are all too apparent, for the a half a million pound + new price (given the used price, the market also seems to think so). The colour, however, is stunning and I couldn't help but ponder how nice a Morgan would look in that exterior colour. I did wonder if it was commissioned by one of the Strolling Bones Simon ? given the name of the colour

Lovely specced SS (to my brain) liking the interior including steering wheel and wheels. Not quite sure about the colour but best looking SS I’ve seen so far. https://www.williamsautomobiles.com...ort-bespoke-for-sale-in-bristol-n108371/

Like the first Dark blue metallic SS with the soft top this shape really works for me and was the best thus far but this is close. the fixed roof versions not so much. This colour with the fleck in the protection coating is a clever touch, the interior trim with the nod to the Midsummer is nice. For me the really winning factor is with the darker colour visually you tend to lose the large ugly plastic bits on the front and rear of the car, that gear stick has to have the Morgan Park conversion though. The BMW thing is a travesty. Now would it fit in the garage in my dreams....

Just noticed the flat bumper jobbies (what are they called? - Do they have a name?) are body coloured. Not sure if that’s an option or bespoke by Williams. Just reading Miscellany - this car is featured p36. ![[Linked Image]](https://tm-img.com/images/2026/08/06/IMG_0421.jpeg)

Yes, as a late arrival I was stuffed in one on a mates Triumph Roadster back in the 70's. ![[Linked Image]](https://live.staticflickr.com/4136/4884548697_f09d7f85ef_b.jpg) Somewhat scruffier than this example I recall - forgot about the neat private screen though.

That is amazingly cool - you must have felt like royalty in such a vantage spot.

Well consider sitting on threadbare upholstery, among oily tools and the novelty quickly wears off. Well before Bergerac brought their existance to the fore you could pick up all manner of similar classics for peanuts - they were just "old cars" then and treated as such.
