Same for me at 76. Over the decades I have gained considerable knowledge and developed a few skills, but nowadays I'm prepared to pay somebody else to do a lot of the work. I'm still able to (and enjoy) doing the annual application of ACF50 between the body panels, using an artist's brush - squirt enough from an aerosol https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/336739962235 ino a small jar (e.g. yougurt pot) or buy a squeezy bottle of the stuff and decant enough for the job. You'll be pleasantly surprised that a lot of unidentifiable squeaks disappear.

I've had the remote greasing kit fitted to my Plus 4 - all now done under the bonnet. No more crawling around under the car. Well worth the expense. thumbs

I think it would have the Ford MT75 gearbox. Mazda MX-5 gearbox was first fitted for 2012 models I believe.

The Mazda box has two concentric rings around the bellhousing. Very distinctive.

Definitely the MT75 gearbox. Richard is right that the Mazda box was fitted to 2012 model cars onward but as it’s a Morgan there will be some 2011 cars with it but not before.

Robin you're teenager within the clan of Morganeers. Welcome home and keep squirming about beneath the Plus 4 with a grease gun at the ready.
Looking forward to my 83rd birthday come September and hope to get 100k miles out of my 4/4 before I run out of gas.

2012 was the change to the Mazda box supplied by Vitesse however there are a few 2011 cars with it fitted as well. Deejay.. yes you are correct 5w-40. engine oil. didn't recommend oil for gearbox or diffs as there are options which can be a personal choice and all are ok. I do have my own choice and am prepared to share if anyone wants to know. Of course there is also the limited slip diff variance. some were even fitted without order as the factory ran short of the standard box!
