we have found the garage where the morgan is located. we just need to source the keys to both the garage and the car. hopefully in the next few months i should have some pictures. and maybe someone will be looking to take on an exciting project.

Sorry to hear your Dad passed on, a very focussing thing to happen for us all.

I would PM Arwyn on here as he has first hand knowledge of rebuilds over many years and will profer the very best of advise on rebuilding and value of such a project once you have more concrete details.

He is the font of all knowledge on traditional cars.

I found this very interesting as I owned a 4/4 Series 2 in 1974. It was a 1959 car with the original 1172 cc Anglia engine, three speed box but with an Elva OHV head which I believe doubled the BHP to about 40. The car is still with the last owner who is now in his 90’s, with severe dementia. I have been trying to buy it back for three years. He started to “restore” it 40 years ago and never finished it. I last saw it in January this year. I found an unopened box which on inspection contained a set of carpets and trims from the factory in 1986. Never opened. The upholstery is exactly as it was in 1975 when I had the seats and backrest recovered. I still hope one day to have it back - but what on earth would I do with it.
