Thomas Ward of Sheffield ?

Yes, he worked for the Darwen and Mostyn Iron Company as an engineer (having been apprenticed to Sentinel in Shrewsbury). Darwen and Mostyn specialised in making spiegeleisen, ferromanganese, silicon spiegel, silicious iron and chrome iron. These were produced largely from foreign ores discharged from vessels into Mostyn Docks.

Sometime around the early sixties, Darwen and Mostyn was bought by Thos Ward.

We have a few relatives & friends who worked for TW Sheffield, they strangest was my wife's friend who worked at head office in the hairdressing salon - they had their own for the office staff because the company was so big
