Hi, my 4/4 hasn’t even landed with me yet and I already have a question. It’s fitted with a black grille and I much prefer the s/s bright finish. Does anyone know if it’s just a s/s one powder coated? If so it might be possible to remove the black coating?
Alternatively if someone wants to do a swap?
Steve

Very likely stainless underneath. Try testing with a magnet. Ironically I did the opposite and had my non magnetic stainless grill powder coated silk black.

A word of warning as I have done this exercise.
Morgan grills are all made bespoke to each individual car when it's built and are all different shapes and sizes as a result of their hand made nature, despite them all looking identical. There is no guarantee another grill will fit your car without work, if at all. Also, in order to successfully powder coat the stainless steel grill, the surface of the polished stainless should be either keyed or chemically treated for adhesion, either of which will ruin the finish of the stainless. You can probably buff it back to a polished finish, but this will either be a lot of work if you do it yourself, or expensive If you use a pro.
It is not as simple as job as it first seems.
