I wear either:
My Sekonda wind up which my parents bought me for my 12th birthday (or) the gold Rotary watch which was presented to ny Taid on his retirement from Thos Ward in 1971, passed down to me on my Dads death.
I don't need anything else!
Arwyn Thomas Ward of Sheffield ?

Arwyn Thomas Ward of Sheffield ? Yes, he worked for the Darwen and Mostyn Iron Company as an engineer (having been apprenticed to Sentinel in Shrewsbury). Darwen and Mostyn specialised in making spiegeleisen, ferromanganese, silicon spiegel, silicious iron and chrome iron. These were produced largely from foreign ores discharged from vessels into Mostyn Docks. Sometime around the early sixties, Darwen and Mostyn was bought by Thos Ward. Arwyn

Arwyn Wow, small world We have a few relatives & friends who worked for TW Sheffield, they strangest was my wife's friend who worked at head office in the hairdressing salon - they had their own for the office staff because the company was so big

I think My Aero 8 S5 is the only car I have ever owned with a "proper" analog clock integrated into the dash as standard. (NB - never had a Rolls or a Bentley !).
Much easier than trying to look at my wrist
Much Much Much easier than trying to ask the wife what time it is !
The definition of being old is when aspirations turn into regrets.

AMG used to have IWC (if they were!) clocks on the dashboard which I like. My current 2016 S212 has one. However the TV-as-a-dashboard has now made that virtual. https://www.francescomarzoli.com/mercedes/ Great review. Not seeing it as an improvement even if I can "select" my chosen model. Bit like the EQE/EQS as a whole. Have you seen the way the secondhand prices go on those, have a scotch handy when you look! Still I can just shout "Siri whats the time" over the music and it will tell me via CarPlay. ![[Linked Image]](https://tm-img.com/images/2026/09/02/Screenshot-2026-09-02-at-12.04.39.md.png) ![[Linked Image]](https://tm-img.com/images/2026/09/02/AMG_IWC.png)
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.
