Hello everyone,
Just joined up this week,
I do not own a Morgan at the moment, but i am seriously thinking of becoming one sometime later this year,so am gathering as much information as possible regarding models ,engines, equipment options, etc, which year to go for, crikey there seems to be so many variations,my first thought staight away is a plus 8,but not the new one, £££££!
I am no stranger to v8s,had a couple of Cobra reps in the past, just longing for a proper sports car again.

Hi Petrolcol,
Welcome to the forum. I did the same as you and joined the forum before buying a Morgan.
Although I went the new car route, if you look at the Morgan Motor Company website, you will get a flavour for the cars that are out there (and the price) from the Morgan dealers.
Good luck with your search.

Welcome,
There has never been so much choice, you can dip into the past as far back as you dare but the variations of new cars has never been better. The new Classic car prices are also outstanding at the moment with wire wheels and leather as standard, that must be a first.
You are embarking on one of the best parts of ownership the choosing and waiting phase,
Best wishes

Hello Petrolcol
Welcome to the forum, where you can get a lot of information.
I just sold two sportscars, owned for 28 years, a TR2 1954 and a Morgan +4 1959. Do not know your budget, but Harpers Morgan has a nice Roadster 2006 for sale at 299950 pounds (can not find the pound letter on my PC). You do not find it in their homepage but on www.classiccarsforsale.co.uk Roger Davies on Harpers Morgan is a nice guy and I bought a Roadster 2004 from them now in January.
I hesitated between a +8 and a Roadster, but when a friend of mine found this one at Harpers I flew over and lookad at it and made a deal with Roger. joy

One too many '9's in there Ken? smile smile
Either that or used prices have gone up by a factor of 10 laugh2

Welcome PetrolCol, as someone else said, join the MSCC, visit your local section - you'll get lots of help and good advice, but as in all these things it may not always be impartial grin2. There's plenty of reading available too...

Cheers,

Hi Guys,
Yes a little under £300,000 seems a bit rich,
Joking apart though, thanks guys for all your comments,i think the next step is to join the MSCC as advised, and to actually look at some and possibly drive a couple of different engine sized cars to get a real feel for of the differences,
although i swaying towards the rover V8,
Thanks again,
Colin.
