Regarding the 'personal guests' comment, and I speak for myself, I have never been treated any differently by MMC other than how I would expect to be treated as a good customer, one who has bought three of their products in the last 4/5 years.
Other than the Geneva Motor Show invitation (where I paid all of my own costs of travel and accommodation etc) the only time we cross paths is on factory visits or at events that they are attending. It certainly fits your description but I wanted to ensure that nothing else is or could be read into it.
I emphasise, if you buy their products, they tend to be very welcoming. They are a business not a Museum after all. I think that you make an important point here Andy, like you I attended the Geneva Motor Show and also paid all our own costs. I certainly don't expect or get a hand-out from MMC. In addition, I buy all my cars through my local Dealer - SGT and he is charged normal Dealer prices, and certainly Julian gives me exemplary service too.  I have now purchased 10-Morgan's and thus, I could be termed what the marketing guys call a 'brand adorer'. I don't apologise for this and I may even buy more Mog's! I might also mention that I have now been invited to two events by AMG, a track day (at no cost to me) and a social event, even though I have only owned our AMG since September 2011.  Brian

Brian, that looks and sounds fan-bloody-tastic! Yes, we really had fun and thanks to everyone else for their comments too. John had a good day too and whilst he did not get round to passengering me in the 3W, he had a few rapid laps in my brother's track-day car before his videoing duties. Let's hope he's able to get his video up soon! We found the event very well organised and hope to have another day here at some time in the future, maybe we could do a TM event if other's are interested!

Morgan are quite right to invite enthusiastic owners to events such as the Geneva show. A brand can have no greater ambassador than someone who repeatedly puts his money where his mouth is.

My initial view is that the car has sufficient power in stock trim. However I have only driven it about 100 miles so far.

Morgan are quite right to invite enthusiastic owners to events such as the Geneva show. A brand can have no greater ambassador than someone who repeatedly puts his money where his mouth is. Thanks Giles, in fact the main social event at the show is the lunch hosted by Prince Eric Sturdza at La Reserva. However, this is under the auspices of the Club Morgan Aero which is open to anyone owning an Aero derivative. Unfortunately, it is not a free lunch (far from it) but as it also includes passes to the press day at Geneva, it is in fact imho good value. In the evening the Bank (BBBSA) host a cocktail party on the Morgan/BBBSA stand and Aero Club members are invited, and thus have the opportunity to mix with the great and the good from the world of Motorsport and the Industry. It is thus well-worth joining the Aero Club, if you do own a suitable car as there are other excellent events scheduled during the year. Brian

Which is why I am wondering why there is a tuning kit, soon to be available, to bring the power up to what we were originally told it was to be?

Which is why I am wondering why there is a tuning kit, soon to be available, to bring the power up to what we were originally told it was to be? But aren't people always going to want 'more'? R500 over R300 using your Caterham analogy? (not sure what else differentiates the cars but you get my gist). I've just got in driving my Smart home and thrashing the pants off it thinking another extra 20bhp over the current 100 would be great. (would take it from 166bhp/ton to 200bhp/ton  )
