That looks like the same system used for the rear swinging arm on old Guzzi bikes.

I like it! Looks like it might even have a lockable BOOT ----Also the sump seems to be high enough.I particularly like the idea of the aluminium and wood combination.

Suicide doors are acceptable provided the door locks are safe. Here is one example: Harald

its honestly a bit surprising that more companies haven't done this sooner. With loads of companies which went under early on with a number of fascinating designs. There are plenty of people willing to buy something with a vintage look. Morgan has built an entire career off selling vintage looking cars.
It would be interesting to find out why they specifically picked the Atalanta over any other vehicle.

There are plenty of people willing to buy something with a vintage look. Morgan has built an entire career off selling vintage looking cars. There are indeed lots of folk who hanker after the vintage driving experience but can do without the hassle it involves. It's why I particularly love the 4/4 - it looks so right, and although fabulously powerful, with brilliant brakes & suspension compared to the genuine vintage article, it ain't anything like driving a modern car, but is relatively low maintenance, reliable and economical. Of course, Morgan have never stopped making the 4/4 and the current offering is the result of 75 year's continuous gentle development. What is being produced by the competition in this market (with the exception of the caterham) is pastiche rather than the real thing. The problem is that most of the other companies that have tried this fail to get the proportions quite right - often it's the wheels are too small & too fat, the windscreens tend to look all wrong & so on. Consider the offerings of Panther, or even worse excalibur and that other awful american one whose name escapes me. The one that floats my boat is Roger Williams ss100 replica. http://www.suffolkjaguar.com/I know it's only a glassfibre replica of the real thing, but quite hard to tell until you're really up close. it has the integrity of having jaguar oily bit,the detailing is first class and best of all in view of the price of the genuine article it's affordable. But I still think I prefer my 4/4....

and that other awful american one whose name escapes me Cadillac?? The one that floats my boat is Roger Williams ss100 replica. Agree wholeheartedly with that. Seen a number of them being driven up Prescott - got to chat to one driver while held at a red flag (something else in the gravel further up the hill). He was really enthusiastic about the car. Zimmer - that was the other monstrosity I was thinking of. It came to me this evening as I was ordering a zimmer frame for the wife. It's not in fact for her 50th birthday next month, but she's just got out of hospital where she's been since last thursday when she had quite a serious skiing accident & badly smashed her knee. The surgeon had to put 9 screws in to hold it all together - so she'll set off all the alarms in airport security in future. The poor girl won't be getting in the Morgan either for the next 3 months by the look of things.

I did enough damage stepping off a ladder from the wrong rung. I wish the good lady a speedy recovery. Cheers,
