Just coming up to 10,000 miles (2009 Plus 4 Duratec) and want to service the car. Does anyone have the 'annual' service schedule so that I can pass it to my local garage to complete. I am not proficient to do it myself and I have a 110 mile round trip to go to a Morgan dealer.

Try Go Mog though how applicable it is to a 2009 car I am not sure

The engine side of things would be covered by something like a Ford Focus, so your dealer shouldn't have a problem there. For the rest of the car it's pretty straightforward, grease everything that's got a nipple (front suspension and propshaft), oil everything that should move (including the rear suspension leaves) and tighten up everything that shouldn't, change the diff oil, check and adjust the brakes, give it a thorough clean and check over. Morgans are pretty simple cars and any garage with some experienced proper mechanics would know what to do.

Now I am concerned.....how often should the differential oil be changed? Any idea what oil to use? Any guidance how to do it..

In my Plus 4 handbook it states the back axle oil should be changed every 5000 miles using a Hypoid 90 oil. You will need one litre of oil.

The only other thing to be aware of is that the diff oil needs to be to GL-4 specification. GL-5 oils contain additives which can attack yellow metal (eg brass).

Changing the stuff is dead easy, there's a drain plug at the bottom and a level plug in the side. Again, any competent garage mechanic will know what to do.

For anyone with a Limited Slip Differential, be particularly careful to put in the correct oil -- mine seems to have had the wrong stuff from the factory and I had a 8 month search for what appeared to be sticking brakes, but really was sticking diff due to the wrong oil!!!!!!

The right stuff for a 2009 plus4 is Castrol SAF-XA for others CHECK!!!!!!

That's LSD oil, an open diff will use ordinary EP oil.

I have a Quaife ATB helical gear LSD diff in my axle, and I was concerned to ensure I used the right oil, so I contacted them direct to ask the correct grade and type of oil to use. The reply I got was interesting:

"...One of the big benefits of the unit is that there is no friction
affecting performance and units can run in any lubricant, some of the
sealed units run in grease others automatic transmission fluid. The best
advice is to use whatever oil you feel best suits the crown wheel and
pinion and serevice as you would a normal unit."

So I guess it's the locking plate diffs that are the issue here?

can someone tell me the best grease to use on the front suspension and the prop shaft. i have used Lithiun high melting point in the past but i do have some graphite grease but do noit know which is the beat to use?
