can someone tell me the best grease to use on the front suspension and the prop shaft. i have used Lithiun high melting point in the past but i do have some graphite grease but do not know which is the best to use?
i have read that graphite grease is not good to use.

Believe the factory are using one with molislip as part of the grease.
Sorry can't remember what Alon Whites said. Give Phil a ring sure he'll tell you. I know he advised another member with an older car to use a different grease.

Moly in the front suspension.
However, if you don't have any to hand, any grease is better than none.

the only place i can find the grease is at Halfords!!! it is there Comma CV & Lith-Moly. any other sugestions that may be cheaper?

Castrol LM grease. For the wheelbearings and anything except the top of the sliding pillar. Tub lasts a good while. It's what I use.

The Comma CV and LMP grease seems to also be suitable, perhaps with the exception of wheel and prop shaft bearings, although I've never used it. However Comma multipurpose grease would also appear suitable. As would Comma high performance bearing grease which is designed for the bearings.

For the top of a sliding pillar this expensive grease is suitable Castrol CL grease but as you can mix it with a cheap thick oil, won't be as expensive to use as first appears.

Your local Halfords is not a place to buy this oil though, a decent motor factors should have some. Millars or Silkolene 50 wt is sold for vintage engines and is ideal for this.
