The promised photo of BtG examining a Panther J72 front-end, to see if something similar will fit his Aero. laugh2 (Note to self, I really must sort out my photos and have them all on one hard-drive. confused2)

The car was in Steve Simmond's workshop having extensive trimming work done, but having examined the build quality up close I was far from impressed. Agricultural, even by Morgan standards. grin2

You have called me a liar.

I believe you are a Moderator here so it is apparently time for me to leave. Too rough here and I cannot reply on that level.

Thanks to the rest for all the fun conversation and the chance to meet you.

Hi Lorne

I am sorry you feel that way. I certainly did not intend to call you a liar, and still cannot see how 'nitpicking' or 'provaricating' can be interpreted as such. However as I said please accept my apologies if that is how it comes across.

Your potted history clearly shows that changes have been made and I referred to that.

I must say that though we do not always see eye to eye on many subjects, it would be a great shame if you left as your views are always interesting and your knowledge often encyclopeadical (is there such a word?) and our verbal jousting always fun; and that would be sorely missed by many others also.

I personally do not see how being a Moderator can make any difference as I certainly did not abuse any of my 'priveliges' and in fact keep my interference down the bare minimum helping Simon keep spam off the site. What I stated I would have stated in any other capacity.

As I said before it would be a shame if you left on my account.

BtG

Cheers

2 Deviation from duty; violation of trust; corrupt action. M16–E18.b
Law. Betrayal of a client’s cause by collusion with an opponent. M16–E18.
3 Avoidance of plain dealing or straightforward statement of the truth; evasion, quibbling, equivocation, deception.

Lorne has stated his opinion of something Boshly wrote.

Boshly has apologised for any offence caused.

I would like them to discuss this via PM rather than on this thread if either believes the matter requires further discussion. They are both mature and decent people and I am sure neither wants a topic about a logo to digress into them talking about the naunces of the written word.

If this thread moves further from the debate regarding the logo I will lock it and stop further discussion; therefore, I would ask everyone to keep it on topic.

With best regards

Simon

Well it just goes to show what a minefield the English language is. If asked, I certainly wouldn't have defined prevaricate in the way the OED does. I also believe that common English usage puts a different definition on this word. My interpretation of Boshly's remark was that Lorne was dithering, perhaps indecisive, sitting on the fence, perhaps disingenuous but certainly not a liar. Perhaps an example of two nations divided by a common language.
At first I thought Lorne was taking the piss - how dare you cad - I challenge you to a duel - pistons at dawn.
Who cares if they've designed a new logo - take the bloody thing off if it offends - put a stop to all this drivel and get out in your car and enjoy it.

Spot on Ken thumbs

Of course I have more to say esp. as would genuinely not want to lose Lornes contributions but I will respect Simons request.

Sorry, couldn't resist, and you have to respect the trouble they've gone to with a Lada....
